Tugs
- Tugs are used to assist large vessels to berth inside
a harbour, tow vessels through a navigation channel, positioning
of oilrigs, fire fighting operation and escort duties, cross-ocean
towage and salvage operations, pushing and pulling duties etc.
- Tebma has established itself as a key player in the tug
market, moving up the value chain in the process, in terms of technology,
size, and bollard pull.
- Entered into a technical cooperation with Europe’s
major ship builder, Damen Shipyards in 1994 to obtain design and
technical support in the design and construction of tugs
- Tebma has built tugs which are now operating in all parts
of India and with defense establishments.
- Tebma’s engineers have been trained at Damen Shipyards
and the company has developed strong in-house capabilities for design
and construction of tugs
- Tebma has a number of proven designs, designed and developed
in-house, for Tugs with bollard pulls between 25 and 60 tonnes with
a variety of propeller options such as Voith Schneider, Steerable
rudder propellers and conventional propellers.
