Hydromeer bv Netherlands 1984-89
- Inventor of amphibious cutter suction dredgers
- Acquired in 1995 by IHC Holland; world’s largest dredger
manufacturer; a USD 720 million group
- Tebma obtained design and drawings for the construction of amphibious
dredgers “Crawl Cat”
- Tebma improved upon the original drawings to suit Indian conditions
- Pumping output was improved from 80 cu.m/h to 200 cu.m/h.
- Dredging depth increased from 5 m to 6 m.
- Tebma obtained right to perpetually use “Crawl Cat” brand
name
Degroot Nijkerk Netherlands
- Part of the Damen Shipyard group
- 45 years’ experience in construction of dredging vessels
- Tebma had technology sharing arrangement for construction of conventional
cutter suction dredgers
- Tebma mastered the cutter suction dredger design & building
technology based on this technology co-operation agreement.
Damen Shipyards Netherlands
- Formed in 1927, it is one of the leading shipyards in Europe
- More than 34 companies in the group with a consolidated turnover
of over USD 570 million
- Assisted Tebma in the Design and construction of sophisticated
state of the art High powered tugs.
- Damen provided technical inputs for the design and construction
of tugs on the pilot projects and also trained Tebma’s employees
at its Netherlands’ yard
Centraal Staal, The Netherlands:
An agreement has been concluded with M/s Central Industry Group, The
Netherlands for setting up a state of the art, computerized automatic
plate nesting and cutting shop at Malpe. This shop will have the capacity
to meet the entire requirement of Tebma Shipyards, as well as some
additional capacity which can be used to service other customers. The
facility is expected to be ready, in early 2008.
