The Industry is governed by extensive rules and regulations by the Classification societies, International Maritime Organisation, and the local governing bodies, for the construction and safety of ships and lives at Sea.

Tebma Shipyards Ltd., has established an excellent reputation for quality with its customers. The personnel of the Quality Control department are trained and motivated for high levels of commitment to quality, which does not stop at the inspection of material, processes and the finished product. There is a constant endeavor to identify and introduce better materials and processes.. Quality Assurance personnel are involved at all stages of production to prevent defects before they occur. Tebma Shipyards Ltd., has evolved it’s own quality standards, in line with the demands of the Industry. A detailed quality plan is drawn up well before commencement of construction of any project, laying down stringent standards and hold points for various inspections and tests and trials. This commitment to quality has repeatedly ensured trouble free operation of ships during the guarantee period and beyond.

Tebma Shipyards Ltd., was the first shipbuilding company in India to be awarded ISO 9001 certification from the Dutch council (BVQI), for all of it’s departments and functions. The quality systems are regularly refined through internal and external audits.
